Pet portraits are drawn based on your reference photos.

The pose and lighting in the photo will be replicated in the drawing, although small changes can be made, e.g. removing leads/collars etc.

Portraits can be done in three distinct styles, shown below in the A4 drawings of Milo from the same reference photo.

Coloured Pencil

A full and detailed render of your pet which aims to faithfully capture the expression and essence of each individual pet, insuring they are unmistakably yours.

Graphite Pencil

An elegant and timeless alternative to coloured pencil, retaining all the detail and life-like qualities.

Ink Pen Sketches

Less detailed and more stylised, these drawings can be done on smaller scales and much faster. Special attention is given to the eyes to make sure the soul of the pet is still captured.

Backgrounds

Adding a background to your portrait is a lot of extra work and can end up taking longer than the animal itself!

I calculate the cost using a percentage increase on the above prices, ranging from +40% for a partial or not detailed background to +80% for a full detailed background.
